As a teaser to the Health & Wealth America conference, this panel explored digital health and how the role of technology is impacting healthcare for the better. Moderated by W2O’s Aaron Strout, panel participants included Melissa Opraseuth, Chief Operating Officer at par8o and Jennifer Lavanture, Vice President of Business Development at MedRhythms. par8o connects patients from community health centers – who serve disproportionately minority and underserved patients – to relevant clinical trials nearby. par8o has over 125 health center clients across 1500+ sites and >11MM lives. MedRhythms is a digital therapeutics company that uses sensors, music, and software to build evidence-based, neurologic interventions to measure and improve walking. This is particularly important to patients dealing with Parkinson’s Disease or MS, and those recovering from strokes.
Both panelists discussed how the technology’s promise of advancing healthcare is being realized at both their companies and how this sector will evolve over the next couple of years. We enjoyed a lively discussion that provided a clear picture of how technology is moving health forward.
