To send a gift card you have to be a user of Square Wallet—but recipients don’t need to set up a Square Wallet account to use it. Gift cards can be integrated using an Apple Passbook option for iOS 6 users, or recipients can simply download a QR code.

Square founder Jack Dorsey has already started using the service, according to Twitter. A gift of $100 worth of tacos sounds pretty good to me.
