Zach Haehn is the head of Bloomberg L.P.’s Engineering team in San Francisco. The team focuses on expanding access to Bloomberg data through new platforms and technologies, and working with the open source community to bring innovative tools and ideas to Bloomberg’s large and fast-moving engineering organization.
Before assuming his new role in June 2014, Zach oversaw developers and researchers as the R&D Manager for Fixed Income Pricing at Bloomberg. His team focused on building real-time financial pricing systems, message scraping systems, and infrastructure for the Bloomberg Professional service (also known as the Bloomberg Terminal).
Zach joined Bloomberg in 2002 and has held multiple positions within the R&D Fixed Income division before becoming a manager. He is an expert in C/C++ software development, distributed systems, and the Fixed Income markets.
He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science.
