Tom Boyd is Vice President and Dean of the School of Business and Information Technology at Kaplan University. After working at Motorola, Inc. in product planning, Boyd earned his PhD in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – and was a professor of Marketing for 17 years before going into administration. Boyd has held tenured positions at Miami University and CSU Fulllerton and has been involved in curriculum innovation for much of his career. His passion is to see innovation in higher education that serves the underserved, rather than creating additional options for already served populations.
