Todor Tashev is partner at Omidyar Network and leads the firm’s U.S.-based efforts in consumer Internet and mobile, education, and financial inclusion. Across these initiatives, Todor’s investment focus is on consumer Internet and mobile companies. His portfolio includes Common Sense Media, Couchsurfing, Digg, DoSomething.org, Federated Media Publishing, Foursquare, Linden Lab, Meetup, Metaweb, OATV, Seesmic, Socialtext, and Wikia.
Todor brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and venture capital to his role at Omidyar Network. At Tellme Networks, he developed and led the company’s mobile applications strategy establishing Tellme’s early lead in this area. Earlier, Todor worked at JP Morgan Capital, where he made private equity and venture capital investments in technology, consumer, and financial services companies.
Todor has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.A. in international economics from Carleton University in Canada, and an international law degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
