Stephano Kim is executive vice president of strategy for Turner. In this role, he explores opportunities to leverage Turner’s extensive data, technology, content and monetization solutions to drive incremental value in existing businesses, while seeking out ways to unlock opportunities through innovative capabilities and new businesses. His work is vital in identifying key spaces for Turner to expand on its industry leadership in advanced media capabilities and the ad economy at large.
Stephano joined Turner in 2014 to lead the newly-formed Data Strategy & Analytics, Revenue Operations and Digital Product Strategy groups as well as advise Turner senior executives on corporate strategy initiatives. Within this role, he spearheaded the company’s efforts to utilize data and insights to connect consumers with more relevant premium content experiences while delivering quality, high-value audiences and engagement to brand marketers.
For nearly two decades, Stephano has worked with early stage media, data and technology companies as an advisor, investor, and operator. He has built and scaled e-commerce marketplaces, digital marketing and ad technology platforms, consumer databases, and cross channel CRM platforms. Stephano also advises several venture capital and private equity funds as an operating advisor, while overseeing Springhouse Capital, a private seed-stage angel fund that has made investments in over three dozen early stage companies.
Stephano received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he serves on both the University Council as well as the Advisory Board to the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Stephano also holds a master’s degree in business administration, with honors, from Columbia Business School. He resides on the upper west side of Manhattan with his wife and three daughters.
