As Head of the Research Unit and Head of Strategic Affairs at Flatiron Health over the past two years, I established Flatiron’s first dedicated Research Unit with three centers of excellence (1) Health Equity Research (Discovery, data quality and methods) (2) Research Collaboration Agreement with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in support of Post Marketing Commitments/Responsibilities and (3) Research collaboration with the National Institute for Health and Care and Excellence in the United Kingdom in support of Health Technology Assessment and drug access. I joined Flatiron Health when it was a start-up and am grateful to have contributed to the products and services that led to its successful acquisiton.

Before Flatiron Health, I spent more than a decade as a NIH-funded clinical trial and health outcomes researcher at Harvard. I have published 100+ scientific publications and clinical trial reports in high impact journals, society guidances and books. I am invited to speak at international, national and local scientific conferences, have published podcasts and serve on Editorial Boards.

As Head of the Gastrointestinal Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital (2007-2017), I built a high-volume, cross-disciplinary clinical trial program with a broad portfolio of Phase I to IV trials (Industry, cooperative group, investigator initiated). I served on national and international clinical trial steering committees and the National Cancer Institute Gastrointestinal Clinical Trial Steering Committee.

My career is inspired by and dedicated to the oncology patients I care for at Boston Medical Center. where I focus on High Risk Cancer Genetics and am Associate Professor of Medicine, Boston University.
