Prakash Khot joined athenahealth in January 2016 and serves as the Chief Technology Officer. Prakash is responsible for leading all aspects of athenahealth’s technology vision and development. As CTO, his primary focus is advancing the overall direction and development of athenahealth’s core technology platform, athenaNet. Software development, user experience design, technology infrastructure, and data analytics all fall under Prakash’s purview. As a senior technology executive and serial entrepreneur, Prakash brings 24 years of technology industry experience and success to athenahealth, including delivering cloud-based big data, analytics, collaboration, and IT management solutions. Prior to joining athenahealth, he served as the Chief Technology and Product Officer at Kaseya, Inc. where was responsible for the delivery of Kaseya’s cloud-based IT Management platform. Additionally, Mr. Khot previously served as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at salesforce.com, inc., where he led Big Data and Analytics as well as the real-time collaboration efforts. Earlier, he was the founding Chief Technology Officer of Dimdim and AIM, Inc., which were acquired by salesforce.com, inc. and Computer Associates, Inc., respectively. Mr. Khot graduated from Science College in Satara, Maharashtra, India with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and also holds a Master of Computer Applications from Shivaji University in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India.
