Mustafa Ergen is chief advisor at Turk Telekom Argela and president of Misone Inc., where he innovates and advises on investment. He is also an adjunct associate professor at Koc University and the founder of its Incubation Lab.

Previously, Mustafa co-founded WiChorus Inc., a Silicon Valley start-up focusing on 4G LTE & WiMAX mobile broadband infrastructure and core gateways. The company was founded in 2005 and acquired in 2009 by Tellabs for $200 million following four up-rounds with tier-1 venture backing by Redpoint, Accel, Mayfield, and Pinnacle Ventures. He was a member of National Semiconductor Labs and was named a National Semiconductor Fellow at the University of California-Berkeley, where he co-founded the Distributed Sensing Lab, focusing on statistical sensor intelligence and vehicular communication.

Mustafa has applied for more than 30 patents and authored three books: “Mobile Broadband – Including WiMAX and LTE,” “Multi-Carrier Digital Communications: Theory and Applications of OFDM,” and “Entrepreneurial Economy and Silicon Valley History,” to be published in Turkish by Koc University Publishing. He has served on the board of trustees of TOBB University of Economics and Technology and was awarded a docent title by the Turkish Higher Education Council.
