Michele Baer has been a senior marketing communications counselor to healthcare leaders and innovators for more than 20 years. Her award-winning work has spanned all areas of the industry including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, wellness, health technology, patient advocacy and health systems.

Michele currently leads health technology innovation communications for Johnson & Johnson, centered on how the company is leveraging the power of technology to improve health care delivery and the health and well-being of people around the world. Previously, she led brand communications in mental health and infectious diseases for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. Prior to joining J&J, Michele held senior leadership roles at communications consultancies; was Director at Novartis leading brand integrated marketing communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement; and was the founder of her own boutique communications firm focused on digital innovation. She holds a B.A. from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and an M.A. in political psychology from State University of New York – Stony Brook.
