Mark Leiter is Chairman of Leiter & Company. During his career, Mark has helped over 150 organizations in the public, private and civic sector create corporate and business unit strategies that improve performance. He has approached strategy development as an operating executive, strategy consultant, board member and venture investor. Mark has served as global Chief Strategy Officer and member of the CEO’s executive committee at Nielsen, an S&P 500 global corporation. He was part of a senior leadership team that lifted Nielsen’s enterprise value from $9 billion to $27 billion as the company transitioned from private ownership back to the public markets. Earlier in his career, Mark held multiple practice leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and was subsequently a senior partner at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He began his career a charter member of Bain & Company’s loyalty practice. He serves as a Board Member for The VH1 Save The Music Foundation, The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and a division of Bard College. He is a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) and a member of The Conference Board’s Global Advisory Council and Global Counsellors. Mark is a partner at Pereg Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in B2B information services firms. He is the co-founder and former Chairman of The Demand Institute, a non-profit think tank that examines global shifts in market demand. Mark was a research fellow at Harvard Business School, holds an M.A. from Harvard University, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.
