Marcie Vu joined Qatalyst Partners in May 2013 and focuses on the consumer technology sector. Prior to Qatalyst, Marcie was head of Consumer Internet Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Marcie has 13 years of investment banking experience at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers advising Internet, mobile, software, and telecommunications clients on transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $90 billion. She has advised on the IPOs of, Facebook, Google, Green Dot, LinkedIn, Pandora, Yandex, and Zynga, among others. Marcie‚Äôs M&A experience includes advising Admob on its sale to Google; Amazon on its acquisition of Quidsi; CNET on its sale to CBS; eBay on its acquisitions of Gmarket and; Electronic Arts on its acquisition of JAMDAT Mobile; Expedia on its sale to IAC; Tellme on its sale to Microsoft; and Zappos on its sale to Amazon. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2002, she worked at Yahoo! for two years in mobile and instant messenger product management. In 2010, Marcie was featured in Investment Dealers’ Digest’s “Forty Under 40: Dealmaking, The Next Generation.” Marcie is originally from Fairfax, Virginia and received a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
