As Senior Vice President, Enterprise Partnerships, Leigh Amaro is chartered with the commercialization of emerging payment solutions around the world to serve the next generation of commerce. Her primary focus is to digitize new payment flows, which include transit, P2P payments, cross-border remittances & B2B payments. Her responsibilities include managing key global strategic alliances, leading on-the-ground market commercialization efforts of prioritized global initiatives, and identifying, structuring and managing new potential partnerships that will have significant impact on the future revenue of MasterCard. Prior to joining MasterCard, Mrs. Amaro founded Visa’s payment data monetization business, where she was responsible for strategy, global product expansion and corporate development activities. In this capacity, she was responsible for the incubation and formation of a real-time data marketing platform, evaluating new partnership investments and providing loyalty and data products domain expertise. Prior to joining Visa, Mrs. Amaro had various leadership roles in the consulting and payments industry. Mrs. Amaro has received 12 patents. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University. Born in New Zealand, raised in Canada and has been a resident of San Francisco since 2000.
