Kevin Williams is a journalist based in Ohio.
Williams started his career as a general assignment newspaper reporter and then moved into environmental and technological journalism. He first wrote about the online world in its nascent stages for the now defunct “Online Access” Magazine in the mid-90s. He then left his journalism behind and spent the next 15 years chronicling and studying Amish culture.
In 2013, he joined Al-Jazeera America. Since then Williams has written about everything from culture to politics for a variety of publications.
Williams returned to his technological roots earlier this year, writing a weekly cybersecurity column for Barracuda Networks.
