As Sportvision’s vice president of engineering, Joe Miller is responsible for directing the engineering staff and managing data acquisition and management, real-time broadcast enhancement systems development, new media software development, software and hardware quality assurance, and emerging software and hardware development. He also establishes external technology partnerships and alliances.

Joe brings nearly 30 years of experience to Sportvision from the unique intersection of technology, entertainment, and education. Joe’s career history includes working for companies that create rich consumer experiences and interactive technologies, including senior executive positions at Linden Lab, Sega, Atari, Koala Technologies, Epyx, Convergent, and Knowledge Universe Interactive Studio.

Prior to joining Sportvision, Joe was vice president of platform and technology development at Linden Research, Inc.—the developer of Second Life. Before Linden Lab, Joe founded Perilux Group, a product design company, which was engaged to develop several award-winning products now offered by LeapFrog, Bright Things, Apple, and Fitniks. Joe was also founder and CEO of the Knowledge Universe Interactive Studio and president of MindQ Publishing.

Before his tenure at Knowledge Universe, Joe led the technology and product development staff at SegaSoft, Inc. and Sega of America, where he held roles as EVP and CTO of consumer products and SVP of product development. He launched his career at Battelle Memorial Institute. He was also a co-founder and president of The Authorship Resource, Inc.
