Jim started his career at 3M in 1996 in Dubai, heading East European and Middle East IT operations and moved to St. Paul, 3M Headquarters in 2001, where he headed Global Foundational Data before becoming the Six Sigma Master Black Belt for process improvement for Corporate Strategy and eBusiness. Jim then went on to lead Emerging Business Opportunities, Electronics Business strategy, Intelligent Transportation strategy, Acquisition Integrations, Supply Strategy and is currently working on special projects for Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Development.
Jim Jacob received his B.S. in Micro Electronics and computer Science from University of California and an M.B.A in business from London Business School. In addition Jim has specialization in telecommunications, and large scale integration with Toshiba and Electronic Data Systems. Jim led the implementation of Toshiba’s regional Hi-Tech service operation in the Middle East Region, based out of Dubai. Jim was also part of IBM and KPMG in the early 90s.
Jim is also an advisory member of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Supply Chain competitiveness advisory committee and the finance and infrastructure subcommittee.
