Jerry Paffendorf and the team at LOVELAND Technologies provide mapping, property data management, and crowdsourcing services to city residents, community groups, development projects, and governments. Their services include Why Don’t We Own This? (easy property information for everyone), Site Control (property data management, map making, and group collaboration), and Blexting (mobile photographic property surveying).

Prior to moving to Detroit in 2009, Jerry served two tours of duty in the technology startup worlds of New York and San Francisco. He grew up in New Jersey where he earned his GED, and pole-vaulted to earn an M.S. in studies of the future from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He feels like an American mutt and looks forward to putting the entire country online, parcel by parcel.
