General Assembly was named as the number one most innovative company in education by Fast Company in 2015 and was in the top 100 on Deloitte’s 2016 Technology Fast 500™ rankings. Schwartz was named E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014 and named one of Crain’s “40 under 40” in 2015. He earned a B.A. in American Studies from Yale in 2000 and a M.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton in 2008.
