Ernesto Quinteros joined Johnson & Johnson in 2014 to become its first enterprise-wide Chief Design Officer, with the mandate to integrate design across the company’s consumer, medical device and pharmaceuticals sectors. He believes that the application of design-thinking at the intersection of physical and digital touch-points, leads to better patient outcomes and stronger brand experiences. Ernesto is also focused on improving the experiences and productivity of J&J employees around the world, with solutions ranging from mobile applications to work environments.

Prior to J&J, Ernesto was Chief Brand and Chief Design Officer for Belkin International where he was responsible for design, marketing and engineering. He led innovation programs in partnership with brands such as Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Dell, HP, Nike, Samsung and Target. The Belkin WeMo “Home Automation – IoT” system received an innovation award from Fast Company magazine and a UXAward. His design work in brand identity, digital, packaging, products and environmental design has received international acclaim by IDSA, I.D., Good Design, iF Hannover, iF China, Red Dot, Excellent Swedish Design and CES. He has been awarded numerous patents and is a Board Member of the Design Management Institute (DMI).
