David DeHaven has been with Kaplan University since 2007. David has more than 24 years of information technology and business experience, most recently serving as chief technology officer of Northrop Grumman. He has led large-scale IT and business change implementations at various Fortune 500 companies in such areas as enterprise resource planning consolidation, customer relationship management, social media, communities of practice, and knowledge management. In his doctoral studies, David focused on culture, leadership, and change management in information technology, and he is continually furthering his expertise in organizational change, recently becoming a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming.

A professional certified coach, David is focused on helping businesses and individuals reach their highest potential. He consults and speaks regularly about achieving personal change, leadership development and delegation, accountability, and how to create a supportive, open coaching culture that fosters innovation and collaboration.

David is a board member of several IT consulting companies and an advisory board member of the Blue Ridge Professional Coaches Association in Southwest Virginia. His research interests include leadership, psychology, change management, culture, and neuroscience.
