Daphne Kis serves as a Project Director at the Markle Foundation, which focuses on using information and communications technologies to address critical public needs, particularly in health care and the nation’s security. Daphne is working on Markle’s initiative to broaden the benefits of advances in information technology to create a vibrant economic future for all Americans. She serves as a Board Director at both iPerceptions, a Canadian webanalytics company, and Style for Hire, a national peer-to-peer network and technology platform for trained fashion stylists. She is an Advisory Board Member of Women’s Media Inc., and is on the national board of Young Audiences: Arts for Learning, an affiliate arts network that serves over five million children nationwide. Daphne is a Managing Director at Golden Seeds, an angel network that invests in women-led companies. She regularly mentors startups through Springboard Enterprises, Entrepreneurs Roundtable, and Women in Mobile, and teaches entrepreneurship and angel investing in the U.S. and abroad. Daphne is active in global technology, venture, and entrepreneurial circles, and has years of expertise taking early stage companies through the many phases of development on the road to success. For nearly two decades she was Co-Owner, President & CEO of EDventure Holdings, Publisher of Release 1.0, and Executive Producer of PC Forum. Daphne holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BA from Hampshire College.
