Mr Auerbach joined Fidelity International Limited (FIL) in 1994 as the Senior Managing Director and Senior Managing Partner of FIL Capital Management and Fidelity Growth Partners Asia, the Asia Pacific Private Equity and Venture investing arm of FIL. Mr. Auerbach has grown the business to what is today a multi-billion dollar proprietary Venture investment franchise with over 80 portfolio companies across the Asian region and close to 70 people supporting the effort. The business continues to grow under his senior leadership.

Daniel has spent 30 years in Asia as an early pioneer and leader in the development of the region’s Private Equity industry. Through his business involvement Daniel is associated with the establishment of some of the region’s most successful independent businesses. Daniel has held key founding/early investment and board roles with companies, including the Alibaba Group, WuXi Pharmatech, AsiaInfo and Asia Renal Care. He continues to serve on a number of Boards of Asia’s leading emerging businesses, including Innovent Therapeutics. Hua Medicine, Adagene, Wisers Information Services, and Delta Health (Chairman), China’s first world class, single specialty cardio vascular hospital located in Shanghai.

Previously, Daniel was a Partner at Arral and Partners, one of Asia’s first independent private equity firms, based in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career he was based in Boston working at Fidelity as an equity analyst and as portfolio management assistant to Peter Lynch, the manager of the Fidelity Magellan Fund.

Daniel is a Trustee of Hong Kong‘s World Wildlife Fund; a Trustee of the Plastic Oceans Foundation and Executive Producer of a feature documentary for January 2017 global release entitled, “A Plastic Ocean;” a member of the Board of Overseers at the

Morningside College, Asia’s first liberal arts college based in Hong Kong; a member of the Presidential Advisory Board of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2000, Daniel was nominated by the World Economic Forum as one of its Young Global Leaders.

Daniel holds a BA from Dartmouth College in Economics and Romance Languages and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
