Dane Howard is a user experience design leader and entrepreneur. He has built his career through helping companies design, prototype, and build products and transform design cultures. With a background in sequential media, he has focused much of his work on building products and brand stories. User-focused design and serial thinking are the emphasis of his work. Dane has worked on an international scale with directors of design, marketing and R&D labs, and chief executive officers. He has played a principal design and leadership role in developing key strategies for Microsoft, Designworks BMW, Major League Baseball, Scient Corporation, Quokka Sports, NBC Olympics, Alias Systems Corporation (formerly Alias|Wavefront), and eBay. His work and travels have brought him experience in working both in Europe and Asia. In 2006, he co-founded VUVOX, which was acquired in 2008 by eBay. He is now a global design leader at eBay inc. Dane is an author, painter, photographer, designer, and father. A personal website for his kids spawned a book entitled “The Future of Memories” to help anyone better prepare, document, and share their life’s stories. Dane frequently speaks on innovation, design, and cultural change.
