Cory Ondrejka is VP of engineering in the core experience group at Facebook, where he is focused on next generation computing platforms. Prior to core experience, Ondrejka was VP of mobile, where he transformed mobile from a potential weakness to the core of Facebook’s business and experience. Before Facebook, Cory was the co-founder of Walletin, a stealth startup focused on high-performance JavaScript and hybrid web rendering acquired by Facebook in 2010. He was the Chief Technology Officer of Linden Lab, where he co-created the award winning virtual world Second Life. He served as executive vice president for global digital marketing at EMI Music, and was a visiting professor at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California, where he taught on online communities. Cory began his career in game development startups, shipping arcade and console video game titles. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in weapons and systems engineering from the United States Naval Academy and was an officer in the US Navy. Cory also advises several early-state technology companies.
