Ching-Yu Hu is the head of Skybox business operations at Google. Ching-Yu joined Google in August 2014 via the acquisition of Skybox Imaging where she was the co-founder and director of marketing and customer relations. Skybox is an information and analytics company that delivers timely, high-resolution imagery, and HD video of the Earth by combining the power of Web technologies and a constellation of microsatellites. Since co-founding Skybox, she has played a key role in supporting Skybox’s venture capital financing, global business development, marketing, and business operations. Since its inception in 2009, Skybox has raised over $91 million in venture funding from Khosla Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, and Norwest Venture Partners. Skybox successfully designed, built, and launched the world’s first two high-resolution imaging and video capable commercial satellites. In 2014, Ching-Yu was named one of Inc Magazine’s “35 Under 35.” Ching-Yu holds dual bachelor’s degrees in operations research management science and statistics from UC Berkeley, and a master’s degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University.
