Cecilia Kang is a national technology reporter for The Washington Post, writing about tech and Internet policies at the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission and how regulations affect businesses and consumers. Previously she was a reporter for the San Jose Mercury News, where she wrote about technology, race and demographics and economics. Cecilia started her career at AP-Dow Jones in New York City and Seoul, South Korea, where she was bureau chief during the Asian economic crisis of 1998. She grew up in Seattle and attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wa.
