Avner Ronen is the Founder & CEO of Public a group messaging company launched in 2016. Public turns messaging from a private communication tool into a social media experience.
Prior to Public Mr. Ronen was the founder and CEO of Boxee, one of the first movers in the media streaming device market. Boxee was acquired by Samsung in 2013 and Mr. Ronen continued on at Samsung as a VP Product in the TV group. Mr. Ronen’s first start-ˇup was Odigo, an instant messaging service that attracted millions of users in the early 2000s. Odigo was acquired by Comverse and Mr. Ronen stayed on to serve as VP of Corporate Strategy and M&A.
