Anthony is the co-founder and CEO of Nautilus Labs which is creating a modern navigational assistant for the commercial marine shipping industry, in a fully integrated software platform. Nautilus provides Captains clearer, more actionable data about the navigational decisions they make over any trip. We save shipping companies money and help reduce the risk associated with a Captain’s job.
Anthony DiMare attended Syracuse University where he previously started Regattable and was the CEO and product lead. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to NYC in pursuit of another funding round. During that time Anthony worked at Persak & Wurmfeld naval architecture firm where he worked on commercial ship structural design. Missing the startup culture he went on his own again and became an early stage startup consultant a year later. He was hired as the first engineer at Bre & Co, Bre Pettis’ new venture after he sold Makerbot to Stratasys. Several months later he picked up a second client and was hired as the first engineer at Grow, Idan Cohen’s new venture after Boxee sold to Samsung. Over the past 8 months, Anthony used the work freedom of consulting to bootstrap his new business, Nautilus Labs.
