A multi-platinum selling recording-artist barely scratches the surface of the interdisciplinary pursuits of Adam Met. As the bassist for AJR, Adam has traveled the world on sold-out tours, has achieved 12 Platinum records in numerous countries, and has recorded a repertoire of music which has garnered over 2 billion streams worldwide. Adam is the Executive Director and Founder of Sustainable Partners, inc. (SPi) and is an appointed UN Development Advocate. A graduate of Columbia University, he also holds a Masters from New York University and is writing his PhD dissertation on the relationship between International Human Rights Law & Sustainable Development.
Adam’s work with the UN as a Sustainable Development Advocate fosters awareness of rights violations and solutions to his social media followers and beyond. Speaking at conferences as well as on television and industry panels, Adam has developed a unique perspective, which intersects a variety of worlds: music, marketing, technology, academia, policy, and government. He has used these skills to develop an innovative thought and action tank, Sustainable Partners, inc (SPi), which fosters creative relationships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Offering new ways to think about philanthropic work, SPi connects influential individuals and companies with technologies to support causes in ways that are mutually beneficial. Adam’s passion for interdisciplinarity permits him to forge multiple simultaneous paths while using each to support the others.
