Matt Anchin leads marketing and communications for Nielsen’s global media businesses. Nielsen is a leading information and measurement company that delivers critical media and marketing information, analytics and industry expertise. He also provides guidance and oversight for companywide online and social media strategies and programs through Nielsen’s Digital Communications Center of Excellence. Prior to joining Nielsen, Matt was Vice President, Online Communications, at American Express, guiding that company’s efforts for using the Internet and associated online tools and capabilities to communicate with the media, employees, shareholders and other important constituents. Before American Express, Matt was with IBM for eight years, holding a variety of global positions across corporate communications disciplines. These include managing media and industry analyst relations and serving as a company spokesperson, leading internal and executive communications for a newly formed 19,000+ employee-strong Integrated Supply Chain business unit, guiding companywide internal and external digital and social media development, and producing award winning annual reports. Matt has also worked at PR agencies representing consumer and technology clients and began his career as a journalist at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Prague, Czech Republic. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two young daughters.
