Jim Weiss is the founder and CEO of W2O Group, an analytics-driven marketing-communications agency serving healthcare and technology clients. In 2018 he was honored with the “Individual Achievement” award by the Holmes Report, named to the PharmaVoice 100 and recognized as a PM360 “ELITE Entrepreneur.” He ranks among the 500 Most Important People in the Global PR Industry (2015, 2017) and MM&M’s “Health Influencer 50” list (2016, 2017). He is also on the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Research Institute.
Jim is a founder and sponsor of the W2O Center for Social Commerce at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, his alma mater. In 2016, Jim partnered with The LAGRANT Foundation to form a paid healthcare fellowship that places minorities pursuing careers in healthcare communications within W2O. Before starting his own firm, Jim worked at medical device start-up Heartport, pharmaceutical giant Sanofi and biotechnology bellwether Genentech.
