As a managing director of General Catalyst Partners, Hemant Taneja concentrates on early-stage technology companies. He is based in the firm’s Palo Alto office. Prior to joining General Catalyst Partners, Hemant was founder and CEO of Isovia, Inc., a company that he co-founded in 1999. Isovia merged with JP Mobile in 2002, and was subsequently acquired by Good Technology in 2005.
Hemant is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning an M.S. in operations research, an M.Eng. in electrical engineering and computer science, a B.S. in mathematics, a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science, and a B.S. in biology and biomedical engineering.
