Dan Elron is responsible for defining the firm’s strategy and offerings in a variety of domains, primarily in the technology space, and for leading the firm’s innovation initiatives. The purpose of Accenture’s innovation initiatives is to develop and bring its latest ideas and solutions to clients across the globe. This is accomplished through targeted R&D efforts and through the assembly of Accenture’s most innovative experiences as driven by industry and client specific “innovation agendas.” The innovation activities range from the creation of new offering portfolios as part of long-term investment programs to narrowly targeted innovation contests and joint client activities and workshops across more than 40 innovation centers across the globe. Prior to this role, Dan was the managing director for Accenture’s Telecommunications Industry practice. He has advised many of the largest companies in the telecommunications and technology industries in North America, Europe, and Asia. Dan is a member of the IEEE and ACM. He has also served as the advisor for the information technology industries for the World Economic Forum, and carried out extensive research on the impact of digital technologies and cloud computing on economic development and industry structures.
