Beth Comstock is GE’s outgoing Vice Chair.  She has lead the 100+ year old company’s efforts to accelerate new growth through digital transformation, a post she is leaving in the new year. We spoke to her on the sidelines of our recent Techonomy 2017 conference.

Comstock operates GE Business Innovations, which develops new businesses, markets, and service models. She re-engineered GE’s processes to make it easier to partner with startups, she said, because “Startups are a window into the future.” (1:48 video)

She also appeared onstage with former Secretary of Commerce, now investor, Penny Pritzker.
