Ulf Ewaldsson

Mr. Ulf Ewaldsson has been Head of Business Area Digital Services and Senior Vice Presidentat Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since April 01, 2017. Mr. Ewaldsson served as the Chief Strategy & Technology Officer, Head of Group Function Strategy & Technology at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since September 2016 until April 01, 2017. Mr. Ewaldsson served as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Group Function Strategy & Technology at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since September 20, 2016 until March 22, 2017 and Senior Vice President since February 1, 2012. Mr. Ewaldsson served as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Group Function Technology at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) since February 1, 2012 until September 19, 2016. Mr. Ewaldsson has more than 20 years of experience in product management, industry development and customer relations. He held various managerial positions within the Ericsson Group since 1990. He has worked internationally for over 11 years (China, Japan and Eastern Europe). He served as Head of Product Area Radio at Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ) (Ericsson’s Business Unit Networks) from January 2007 to February 2012. He was instrumental in helping to create some of the products that reflect Ericsson’s technology leadership, such as HSPA and LTE in the radio-access network; the multi-standard RBS 6000; and the antenna-integrated radio unit. He served as Vice President at Ericsson. He served as the Head of Radio Division at Vihaan Networks Limited. He serves as the chairman of Ericsson’s Research Board. He has been a Director of ASSA ABLOY AB since 2016. He serves as Board member of Lund University, the Ericsson-LG Board in Korea and Telecom Management Forum. He was a Member of the European Cloud Partnership Steering Board. He held various telecom advisory assignments within EU and member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). He is involved in the European strategic work regarding ICT and the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP SCC) headed by the European Commission in Brussels. Mr. Ewaldsson holds an MSc in Engineering and Business Management from Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden.
