With customers in over 100 countries, the business serves over 1,600 telecom operators and reaches 85% of worldwide mobile subscribers, global Fortune 1000 companies, leading media houses and major sporting events like Formula One®.
Rangu has spent over 20 years working in more than 30 countries, connecting new markets to existing ones and turning company portfolios into ground-breaking offerings. He is a consummate relationship builder, earning customer trust, influencing policy changes, and partnering with government and business leaders in diverse cultural environments around the world.
He has a history of seizing opportune moments to create change, from building the Internet Business Group at Verizon (now known as Verizon Business) back in the late 1990’s, to establishing Cisco as a major player in India and other emerging markets in the early 2000s, to recognising the global need for cyber-security at scale in 2008. He is now applying that visionary thinking to Tata Communications’ business.
Rangu holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also has MS and BE degrees in Engineering.
