Peter Vander Auwera is co-founder of Innotribe, the innovation initiative of SWIFT, a member-owned cooperative that provides the communications platform, products and services to connect more than 10,000 financial institutions and corporations in 210 countries. As a member of this team, he is architect and content curator for the main Innotribe events, such as Innotribe at Sibos. He is responsible for various innovation proofs of concept and for the Digital Asset Grid, one of the most forward-looking SWIFT Incubation projects. Peter joined SWIFT in 2005. Prior to SWIFT, Peter was at Microsoft as EAI Solution Sales and Business Development Manager for Microsoft’s Electronic Identity Card plans in Belgium. Consequently, in 2005, Peter received the Microsoft Chairman’s Award. Throughout his career, he has won several innovation and going-beyond awards. He is member of the WEF expert group on personal data, a member of the REXpedition, and a TEDxNewWallStreet speaker.
