An accomplished global communications and marketing executive, Matt joined CR in April 2017 as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Matt leads Consumer Reports’ communications department and is responsible for maximizing the communications effectiveness of the organization and providing strategic communications counsel to advance CR’s mission. Matt serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and works closely with the President and CEO and members of the leadership team to align and harness all internal and external communications and events to help fulfill leadership’s vision and drive strategic priorities forward.
Matt brings two decades of extensive experience across corporate and consumer media and industry relations, shareholder and employee communications, and marketing communications with a focus on developing and executing strategies that build the brand, reputation, and revenue.
Before joining CR, Matt worked at Monster Worldwide, where as Senior Vice President of Global Communications and Content he oversaw a vast portfolio for the employment site. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications with Nielsen and Vice President of Online Communications with American Express, and he held a number of high-level communications roles with IBM.
Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications in 1996 from American University.
