Marcus Wohlsen is a longtime reporter for the Associated Press in the San Francisco bureau, where he’s covered science, technology, the environment and California’s marijuana industry.  His first book, Biopunk: DIY Scientists Hack the Software of Life, was published in April and has been featured on NPR, CNN, Boing Boing and elsewhere.  Marcus is a graduate of Harvard and UC Berkeley.  He lives in Berkeley with his wife and son.
